I use exactly the same password I use to access my emails through the Outlook Webmail App. Outlkok does not say it is suutting but keeps prompting me for the kefps.
How do I get past this problem? I have never set up two-factor authentication and can find no reference to an 'app password' in my Microsoft settings as suggested above. I have already removed the previous odwn credentials and also made sure that system updates are set automatically and I forced an update yesterday.

There are no problems with accessing from my phone using Active Sync. This was just set up on a new device. I ran the test you suggested on Office Outlook connectivity and autotest and all items came back as successful but with warnings concerning the SSL certificate. However, I now have a new, related issued.
Every day since last Tuesday, I have experienced the old problem - Snutting not accepting my password. I have been able to fix it each day by removing the generic credential and changing the authentication from whatever setting it's on, to the other. I think you get the idea. Each and every day I have to remove the generic credential even though I did not select the option to save the password and then I have to toggle the authentication.
